Amanda

PET FIRST AID CERTIFIED

Nice to meet you! I’m Amanda, a lifetime resident of Ojai and animal enthusiast.

Nothing brings me more joy than animals. Their pure love and
companionship have guided me through life and some difficult challenges.

I have been lucky enough to be a part of this amazing team for the last
few years and love my job! I couldn’t ask for a better team to work
with. Everyone is so in tune to animals and each other.

When I’m not with animals I work locally as a receptionist and you can often find me singing Karaoke!

I love my pets more than anything so I know how important your fur babies are. I believe in treating them as my own.

I live downtown with my partner, my Maine Coon, Louie, and my Tabby, Magellan.

I look forward to meeting more furry friends and getting to know them.

Ojai Pet sitter, dog walker

Bethany

Hi, I’m Bethany.

I have had dogs and cats in the home my entire life.

When I was younger I wanted to become a Veterinarian, but life took me in another direction and I became a teacher instead.

I’ve been fortunate to pet sit for friends and family over the years and recently began volunteering for a local animal rescue.

I’m excited to be back with The Peaceful Pup again and look forward to caring for your furry babies!

Ojai Pet Sitter Dog Walker Jami with The Peaceful Pup

Jami

Hi! I’m Jami.

I’ve worked at the Search Dog Foundation for 8 years as a Trainer and Veterinary Assistant and will be leaving the Search Dog Foundation after my 8 years there to work closer to Ojai where I’m caring for my 85 year old mother.

I’ve been a pet dog trainer for 20 years after receiving my dog training certificate from Animal Behavior College, and received my Veterinary Technician degree from Penn Foster College.

Beyond my extensive background in training and vet assisting, I’ve been grateful to provide dog walking and pet sitting for my own clients over the years.

I have one dog at the moment, although I have been known to have up to six!!! My current pup, Shiloh, is a smart and sweet McNab, and she’s morphed herself into being my mom’s emotional support dog. I’ve had many cats and other domesticated animals over
the years.

I look forward to taking all of my experience and using it to give the best care ever to your pets whenever you’re away.

Pamela

Pet First Aid Certified

Hi there, my name is Pamela.

I fell in love with Ojai and moved here from Ventura. I’m originally from San Francisco, but the first 5 years of my life were spent on a farm with my great-grandparents in the San Joaquin Delta.

I grew up with cows, horses, chickens, dogs, and cats galore, and I believe my love of animals began way back then. One memory that is precious to me is when my cat Red left four kittens on the porch to find on my fourth birthday.

I’m a recently retired librarian for the city of Oxnard. I worked in the Colonia area managing the small branch for 18 years. Although this position was extremely rewarding, I secretly wished for a position helping and caring for animals. The first thing I did after retiring was to start volunteering at Ojai’s Humane Society of Ventura County. Connecting with pets through The Peaceful Pup proves that dreams do come true!

I have always had animals in my life, and while working at the library and being away so much of the day, I filled my life with three cats: Kenji, Akira, and Saba, all named after characters from books I have read. They all have individual personalities that keep me thoroughly entertained and running in circles most of the time.

Upon retiring, I finally was able to fulfill my desire to have a dog again in my life. I waited a long time for Tess, a Border Collie, but it was worth the wait. She is such a love and keeps me company on my walks and various adventures.

I enjoy hiking, cycling, photography, gardening, traveling, and of course reading.

BRANDY

Pet first aid certified

My name is Brandy, and I’m the owner + founder of The Peaceful Pup in beautiful Ojai, California.

I’ve had a strong interest in animals and animal behavior since my early childhood growing up here in Ventura County–I began reading every book on the subject once I was able. In focusing my efforts on my gift and passion, I was certified in positive training techniques with Animal Behavior College and was also certified in Holistic Small Animal Massage, all in preparation for starting The Peaceful Pup in Ojai in May of 2010.

Having worked in the feature film business for over 15 years, I’ve had to rely heavily on the services of pet sitters and dog walkers to care for my beloved pets while working long hours and traveling to work on location. I found in many cases a lack of professionalism, communication, and attention to detail that I’d personally prefer. Yes, I’m a bit of a perfectionist, which works out great when it comes to serving you and your pets, giving the best quality care and communication possible.

You’ll find me working behind the scenes on the schedule, website, social media, and everything else it takes to keep our business running strong!

In my free time, I tend to be behind a camera shooting landscapes, wildlife, or live music, painting, reading, drinking loads of English tea, handing out free French Toast and hugs with the French Toast and Hugs gang, or spending time with my hubby and our own pups, Hazel the Smooth Fox Terrier, and Maximilian Rockatansky the retired racing Greyhound.

I  pride in going the extra mile for you and your wee loved ones, and look forward to becoming their best friend, along with our amazing roster of Pet Care Professionals!
